Phil gave himself one last look in the mirror before he called out to Steve, “Sorry Captain, didn’t hear you right away.” Taking a deep breath he grabbed the rings and turned off the light. “Sorry to keep you waiting.” Holding out the rings, Phil said, “I’m going to give you this to keep a hold of.”

“God, could either of you be any more impatient.” Jan muttered, looking at her dress in the mirror one last time before slipping her shoes on and turning to open the door. She’d nearly put a hole in it when she’d thrown her shoe at it earlier. “Does this look okay?” She asked, biting her lip and looking at both Tony and Rhodey. “I’ll warn you now though, if you say anything other than yes, I may behead the both of you, I can do that.” She said, smiling slightly as she adjusted the pendant Tony had given her earlier around her neck. Suddenly feeling nervous, she let out a breath and looked them both over. “You both look very handsome, by the way.” She said with a smirk. “Rhodey, remind me to find more reasons to get you into a dress uniform.” She laughed, looking down the hallway. “We ready to go? We’re ready to go right? Right? Cool.”

Looking up when the door opened, the reply to Rhodey lost on his lips as he caught sight of Jan. It felt like all the breath had been roughly pushed out of his entire body and he just couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that this was it. This was…she was getting married. And yeah, he had been in this situation with her before, but this was different. Phil was different when it came to Jan and Tony knew that. “You look beautiful, midget.” He smiled playfully, reaching out and brushing a strand of her hair aside. “You can do this.”

Steve grinned as Coulson walked out of the room. He nodded his head, taking the rings and slipping them into his pocket, patting it. “Safe and sound.” He put his hand on his back, “You look good, sir. Are you nervous?” He asked. He looked nervous, and this was Phil Coulson. It wasn’t a look he had ever seen before, except when he was speaking with Steve but this was a completely different situation.

“We’ll see about that.” Rhodey rolled his eyes when she talked at them through the door and stood up straight to see her come out, jaw hanging slightly when he saw her, “Okay? Okay? Jan, look at you.” he grinned and shook his head a bit, “You look amazing, breathtaking.” He stood next to Tony and felt like his face was going to split in half from how much he was smiling. She looked so…happy and healthy and alive. It was…this was good. Great. And he was unbelievably happy for her.
